Making a daytime rave concept fundable.
The Situation
Melted had the concept — high-energy daytime raves aimed at urban millennials in London. The vision was clear to the founders. The problem was that ‘daytime raves’ doesn’t immediately compute as an investment opportunity. The pitch had to do two things at once: make investors feel the energy of the concept and make them believe in the business behind it.
The existing materials weren’t doing either.
What We Did
Repositioned the Narrative
- Reframed Melted not as an events company but as a lifestyle brand for a specific urban audience — people craving connection, music, and shared experience in a format that fit their lives
- Mapped the market context, identified competitors, and positioned Melted in the whitespace: premium, daytime, experience-led, and community-focused
- Built a narrative arc for the pitch: cultural moment first, business case second, roadmap third
Designed the Deck
- Visual identity for the deck was built around the energy of the concept: neon contrasts, bold typography, and imagery that put investors inside the experience before they’d read the numbers
- Structured the slide flow to match the rhythm of a compelling pitch — hook, problem, solution, traction, roadmap, ask — with each slide building momentum
- Every design choice served the credibility of the brand: this had to feel like a serious company, not just a party idea
The Outcome
Melted left with a pitch deck that could hold its own in a proper investor meeting — polished, purposeful, and built around a story that investors could see themselves backing.
The brand identity developed for the deck gave Melted a visual language they could extend across social, events, and marketing as the business grows.
Why It Matters for You
Experience-led businesses — events, hospitality, entertainment — face a specific challenge when pitching: investors want to feel the concept and trust the numbers. If your pitch isn’t doing both, you’re losing rooms you should be winning. Melted shows how the right design and narrative structure can bridge that gap.
